Patrick McCarty Awarded Kohl Teacher Fellowship

Patrick McCarty, a social studies teacher at South Milwaukee High School, has been named a 2025 Kohl Teacher Fellow by the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation.
McCarty is one of 100 educators in Wisconsin to be named fellows. McCarty will receive $6,000 from the fellowship, and South Milwaukee High School will receive another $6,000.
This is the second year in a row that teachers from SMHS have earned the honor of being named a fellow. Music teacher Aimiee Swanson and Social Studies teacher Heather Hanson were honored in 2024.
