School Supply Lists
Elementary
Please find the 2025-26 Elementary School Supply List below.
Elementary Open House and supply drop off is on Wednesday, August 27, from 5-7 p.m.
All supplies will be needed on the first day of school, September 2, 2025.
Each school day starts at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 3:20 p.m.

Middle School
The first part of this supply list includes general supplies students will need for all subjects. The second portion of this list includes materials needed for specific Allied Art classes. Additional supplies may be requested throughout the year for specific courses/projects. The school-issued Chromebook should be charged each evening and brought to school daily in its appropriate case.
High School
Students enrolled at South Milwaukee High School can expect to need general class supplies that may include, but are not limited to: pens, pencils (regular and/or mechanical), highlighters, binders with loose leaf paper, folders, glue stick, sticky notes, boxes of Kleenex. In addition to general supplies, specific classes may have other needs, as listed below. Additional supplies needed will be communicated to students the first day of school from their individual teachers.

May need sketch books and other artist supplies - teachers will advise students of specific needs during their first class.

Nursing: Scrub top & pants, analog watch for clinicals
Nursing Assistant classes will need additional supplies. Please contact Mrs. McConnell for details at amcconnell@sdsm.k12.wi.us.
Clothing Design/Construction and Advanced Clothing: pattern, fabric and notions for 3 sewing projects and one craft. Free and reduced cost patterns are available as are some donated fabrics.
Assistant Child Care Teacher, Child Care Teacher, Child Services Co-Op: Coloring tools (markers/crayons) - small craft supplies may need to be purchased
MATHEMATICS
Algebra: scientific calculator, dry erase markers
Geometry: compass, protractor, scientific calculator
Algebra II/Trig A: graph paper, TI-Graphing calculator (84+ or higher)
AP Statistics: Graphing Calculator (TI 84 preferred)
MUSIC
BAND: Band t-shirt (purchased at start of school year - cost is $10), black shoes with black soles, black pants, black socks
ORCHESTRA: black shoes with black soles, black pants, black socks
CHOIR: black shoes with black soles, black pants, black socks, dressy shirt top in SMHS colors (red, white, or black)
PHYSICAL EDUCATION/HEALTH
Physical Education classes: t-shirt, shorts, heart rate strap (can be loaned by Phy Ed dept), athletic shoes
SCIENCE
Biology II: Environmental Science: clothing to wear outside at all times of the year
