Free and Reduced Price Meals
Children need healthy meals to learn. The School District of South Milwaukee offers healthy meals every school day. Breakfast costs $1.65 for Elementary School, $1.75 for Middle School, and $1.85 for High School; lunch costs $2.95 at the Elementary Schools, and $3.30 at the Middle and High Schools. Your children may qualify for free meals or for reduced price meals. Reduced price is FREE for breakfast and $.40 for lunch.
Eligibility for Free & Reduced Priced Meals must be reviewed and renewed at the beginning of each new school year. If you do not receive a Notification Letter of Direct Certification within the first 2 weeks of August, you should complete an application for Free & Reduced Priced Meals. If you receive a Notification Letter of Direct Certification in August, it is NOT necessary to complete an application.
