Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for considering the School District of South Milwaukee for your child’s 4K education. I can’t think of a better place for them to grow a love of learning, make friends that will last a lifetime, and join a school community that promotes equity, kindness, and good citizenship.
A bit about our program: Our professionally developed curriculum focuses on growing learners in the areas of social-emotional development, math, language and literacy, and creativity and curiosity in a fun and age-appropriate setting. Also, when you join the South Milwaukee school community, it’s not just about our students, we include parent-child and family outreach activities throughout the school year!
The 4K program is available for children who will be 4 years old on or before September 1 of each school year. Our program is housed at all of our elementary schools: Blakewood, E.W. Luther, Lakeview, and Rawson.

Open House February 5 3:30-5:30
Join us at any of our elementary schools. Parents, caregivers, and future students will get a chance to visit a classroom, ask questions, and meet school staff. This is a "drop in" event - students and caregivers do not need to attend the entire event.

- E. W. Luther: 718 Hawthorne Ave.
- Lakeview: 711 Marion Ave.
- Rawson: 1410 Rawson Ave.
Please note that we do have 4K classrooms at each of our elementary schools, but given space constraints, some schools have one classroom, and some schools have multiple classrooms. Every attempt is made to place 4K students in the school they will attend for 5K-5th grade, and most enrollments are received prior to July 1. Some students who enroll after July 1 may need to be offered placement in a different elementary school.
Secure your Spot
Bring your child's Birth Certificate and a lease/mortgage or utility bill that includes your name and address to the Open House or to the District Office at 901 15th Avenue, Door 7.
Once your documents have been confirmed, you will receive a link to begin the online registration process for your child.
