School Closed on Friday Due to Extreme Cold Warning

Dear Families and Caregivers,

Happy New Year!  The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Cold Warning for Friday, January 23, 2026.  We wanted our community to have as much notice as possible, so we are sending this notification now. 

School will be closed on Friday, January 23, 2026. 

What does this mean for our elementary and middle school students?

• School is open as normal tomorrow, Thursday, January 22, 2026, for our elementary and middle schools. 
• No school on Friday.
• There will be a regular school day on Monday, January 26.

What does this mean for our high school students? 

• The high school will have the previously communicated exam schedule for Thursday, January 22, 2026. 
• No school on Friday.

• Our current final exam schedule for high school students for Friday, January 23, will be moved to Monday, January 26th.  The schedule for Monday will be:
  • 7:30-8:50 a.m. Period 7 exam
  • 9:00-10:20 a.m. Period 8 exam
  • 10:30-11:50 a.m. Make-Up exams

We will still have the first-semester grades available for all parents/caregivers by the end of the day on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
