Pro Back-to-School Tips from the School Nutrition Team

Pro tips from School Nutrition

To make your students' breakfast and lunch purchases as smooth as possible, please remember to make deposits and monitor your students’ meal accounts multiple times throughout the week. You can do so by making sure you have an active meal account (or create an account) at MySchoolBucks.com.

At My School Bucks you can make deposits, set up automatic payments, monitor transactions, set limits and low balance alerts. Please ensure you have signed up to receive low balance alerts.

Please remember that each student should take all the Meal Components when participating in our meal programs. One of those required components must always be a Fruit and/or Vegetable. A la carte food items (i.e. chips, bottled drinks, etc.) are not a part of the reimbursable meal components as set by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and will not be able to be purchased if your student’s account has a negative balance. In addition, if your student(s) purchases only a Milk, or would like an additional milk with their meal, then it would be considered a la carte and is charged $0.50.

For further information on Free & Reduced Applications, Menus and more, please visit our Breakfast and Lunch Program website or contact our School Nutrition Department at (414)766-5023 with any questions.

Thank you and have a great school year!

Sincerely,

SDSM School Nutrition Team
