Course Guide

Students will learn about the rules of chess and other strategic games.

You will use a wide variety of art, craft, and recyclable materials while learning and exploring your own creativity.  Bring a positive attitude and willingness to try new ideas.

Get ready for an epic journey into a world where your imagination is the only limit!  In this exciting, hands-on class,  you'll dive into the classic role-playing game where YOU get to be the hero.  Whether you're the wizard casting spells, a brave knight defending the realm or a clever rogue sneaking through dungeons, you'll craft your own unique character and work with your friends to overcome challenges, solve puzzles and embark on thrilling  quests.  This class utilizes probability, math and problem solving and creative writing to help kids explore the broad, imaginate process that comes from group storytelling.

 Using a wide variety of materials, from odds and ends to clay and papier-mache, we will create puppets and musical instruments, and form ceramic wonders of art.  We will also learn different ways of drawing and painting and explore a variety of printing and stamping

Attention all witches and wizards! Delve into the magical world of Harry Potter by reading and listening to the story and watching movie clips (PG). Get sorted into the Hogwarts houses, play Quidditch, create your own wand, and learn more about the wizarding world! Shhh... don't tell the muggles!

Lego Design will challenge each student to be creative, think visually and persevere through the creative building process. Hands on and collaborative learning will add to the fun.

Each week, students will spend 2 days watching a movie.  The rest of the week will be spent discussing the theme, characters, conflicts, solutions and writing up a short movie review.

It also helps to build essential skills that could go with them as they grow older. Consider these fun games and activities to help your kids stay active and lively during the summer.   Students must have tennis shoes, a water bottle, and apply sunscreen.  Students will be OUTSIDE in the summer heat every day.
