Both parents and teachers have a large stake in the success of our students. As students transition to middle school, the amount of parent involvement becomes less, but involvement in the middle years (ages 10-14) is crucial for student success.
South Milwaukee Middle School is looking to increase the communication and understanding between parents, teachers, students, and community members. Our goal is to work together to maximize educational opportunities provided by the school system and the larger community, and partner with families in the learning process.
The purpose of the Parent Advisory Council is to enhance and support the educational experience at South Milwaukee Middle School by:
- Promoting open communication and understanding between parents and staff of the South Milwaukee Middle School.
- Developing a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement.
- Improving the environment at South Milwaukee Middle School through volunteer and financial support.
