About Us

It is important for families to know the focus that we are taking as a high school staff to support the district goals of curriculum expectations, character education, community engagement and capital effectiveness. Below are the four goal areas, along with the expected outcomes, for each of our four district CEs.

As means to support this work, the district and high school are structuring our work around three key areas: work we are “Actively Engaged In”, work that is “On Our Radar”, and work that we “Continue To Refine”.

As a high school, when we dig in deeper to those three areas, eight areas of focus are clear for our work during the 2016-2017  year.  Below are the essential components for each key area of focus:

Actively Engage In

  • Enhancing Literacy

On Our Radar

  • Curriculum Expectations for Student Learning

      • Equity and Social Justice
      • Equal Access and Eliminating Barriers
      • Building awareness (of the issue/data), focusing on proportional representation, and understanding marginalization
  • Character Education/Mindset

  • Educator Effectiveness

    • Increase educator effectiveness through the systematic articulation and implementation of a research-based, clearly articulated performance evaluation system for ALL educators within an educational organization; (teachers, educational specialists, school administrators, central office administrators, and district administrators/superintendents).
