It is important for families to know the focus that we are taking as a high school staff to support the district goals of curriculum expectations, character education, community engagement and capital effectiveness. Below are the four goal areas, along with the expected outcomes, for each of our four district CEs.
As means to support this work, the district and high school are structuring our work around three key areas: work we are “Actively Engaged In”, work that is “On Our Radar”, and work that we “Continue To Refine”.
As a high school, when we dig in deeper to those three areas, eight areas of focus are clear for our work during the 2016-2017 year. Below are the essential components for each key area of focus:
Actively Engage In
On Our Radar
- Curriculum Expectations for Student Learning
Increase educator effectiveness through the systematic articulation and implementation of a research-based, clearly articulated performance evaluation system for ALL educators within an educational organization; (teachers, educational specialists, school administrators, central office administrators, and district administrators/superintendents). **INTERNAL ASSESSMENTS DRIVE OUR DAILY WORK**
The staff at South Milwaukee High School is ready to take on the work that lies ahead. We are excited to support our district vision, mission and four CEs through our aligned and clearly articulated focus for 2016-2017. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact a member of the high school administrative team.
