Open Enrollment for 2012-2013
Open Enrollment is a state-wide program that allows parents to apply to have their children attend school districts other than the one in which they live. The program is open to Wisconsin residents in grades 4K-12 (some restrictions apply to 4K applicants).
Parents must submit an online application for each student. Enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year begins February 6, 2012 and ends on April 30, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. Applications will be available on February 6 on the DPI website. Late applications are not accepted for any reason.

Chapter 220 Program
The Chapter 220 program allows minority students from the City of Milwaukee to attend eligible suburban school districts, such as South Milwaukee. Additionally, non-minority South Milwaukee residents may apply to attend MPS schools. Bussing is provided under the Chapter 220 program.
Students may apply for the Chapter 220 program in the January prior to the start of the new school year. Please note that certain MPS schools require testing and application in the fall prior to the new school year.
More information may be found on the MPS website.
